Screamscape reports that Hard Rock Park is installing a Gravitron ride for the park. A posted video on YouTube, shows the ride arriving on the back of a flatbed truck. The person narrating the video says the ride is headed down the Hard Rock Parkway to the park, but it is unclear where the video was taken or if it is actually in the Myrtle Beach area.

I won't mind the carnival rides as you call them for one season cause, and at least they are trying to add some rides. I know that they cant build and theme rides in the short time frame that the have, as long as the replace them or build them into themes for next year

A gravitron ride isn't something I'd go on. It will get me very sick. So when I come late summer, I guess that two rides I won't be riding since Nights in White Satin will be out.

Unfortunatley, I will not be able to ride it as well. The London Cab Ride in British Invasion got me so sick. I rode it just once ans it was with the President of the Official Travel & Tourism Organization of the United States. I had to jump off the ride before I threw up all over him.

well I happen to know quite a few people that really enjoy that kind of ride. But hey I think they are giving it a shot and really trying so lets not be too critical and just see what happens. remember all these other parks that people are trying to compare it to were not just built over night. This is a bad economy so lets help them not hinder them. anime-tut_tut.gif

I understand they want to get more rides in the park. But I think its an odd fit with the theming of the park. What's the park's name? Oh yeah, they haven't officially got one yet.

I got to watching that video more to try a fig out where it was taken from.
the truck is comming off of Cannon road onto 501, there is a place back there that works on rebuilding rides, so maybe its not going to hard rock.

Raymond,

They are really stretching the truth on this one. Let me assure you there is no Gravitron coming to the Park.

If cayrings says "No gravitron", that's good enough for me, people. I'd put this rumor to bed.

Furthermore, I did not notice anything at the park today. A crane with works in a basket was over by Slippery When Wet, but that was it. I wasn't about to break out my extension ladder to look over the fence. anime-tut_tut.gif

Gravitrons are fun. The operators make this a great ride! Sound and lights while you spin and slide.
